Managing church communications is hard. It can feel nearly impossible to find the right balance between communicating too much and too little. And it is impossible to please everyone in your church while doing it.
In Less Chaos, Less Noise, Kem Meyer draws our attention to one of the biggest problems we face in the world of church communications: people are weighed down and burdened with information and churches, more often than not, are just adding to the problem.

Meyer suggests an approach that prioritises simplicity and authenticity. She helps us think about the way we communicate and why that matters more than we might think.

I usually prefer books with beautiful, carefully crafted writing, and Less Chaos, Less Noise didn’t have that for me. But what it did have was lots of genuinely good ideas. While I wouldn’t agree with everything she writes, she makes some compelling arguments and this book has undoubtedly changed the way I look at church communications.
"It’s not what you say; it’s what people hear. And, while you might not be able to control what people see or hear, you can do a better job of trying to anticipate it."
